Independence of Balochistan and war in Afghanistan

As war in Afghanistan intensifies extremist elements as usual will run for hideouts in areas away from fronts in Afghanistan. One of such safe heaven has been created by Pakistani intelligence agencies inside Balochistan. Presence of these Afghan extremist elements( "assets" as they are called by ISI officials) has been on the rise inside Baloch territory. This is a strategic tactic of Pakistani intelligence establishment.

These extremist elements have traditionally been involved in destabilizing any Government in Afghanistan on Pakistani orders at the same time their growing numbers inside Balochistan is a source of satisfaction for Pakistani military officials as they move ahead with their anti Baloch operation in the region. The ultimate aim being turning Baloch into a minority and taking control of their natural resources including natural gas and petroleum.

Long lasting peace in Afghanistan is nothing more than wishful thinking unless intelligence support to Taliban is completely cutoff from Pakistan. This can only be achieved through supporting the independence of Balochistan.

The independence of Balochistan a political necessity.

Balochistan , a vast geographical area situated between Iran , Afghanistan and Pakistan is home to Baloch nation, currently Balochistan is divided into parts Iran and Pakistan continue to occupy their respective parts of Balochistan. Pakistan has deployed military in Baloch occupied territory to suppress Baloch struggle for independence. The military forces and ISI are abducting students and writers , killing political leaders and activists , destroying corps, forcing people out of their villages as tactics to overcome Baloch uprising.

The Pakistani intelligence agencies have been using all kinds of tactics to convert Baloch nation into a minority in their own home land for this purpose, against the wishes of common Baloch, ISI has converted some areas in Balochistan as safe heavens for Taliban elements fighting in Afghanistan. These are referred to as "good Taliban" by Pakistani intelligence sources and their growing numbers inside Baloch terriorty has been a constant source of concern for Baloch nation.

Baloch historically have not been a part of ISI's designs for regional dominance which it effectively orchestrates through promotion of religious fanaticism. By nature Baloch are moderate , peace loving people. For them independence of their homeland and their democratic rights are most important and they abhor talibanization in any form and shape

The presence of this geographical buffer(Balochistan) between the extremism and fanaticism going on in other parts of Pakistan , Iran and some parts of Afghanistan is of paramount importance firstly because this route is frequently used by the extremist elements " good Taliban's" for rest and recreation in Pakistan. Secondly this could be the most convenient route for accessing Afghanistan or Iran because of Baloch seaport of Gawader where currently Pakistan is consistently increasing the presence of China.

Therefore, independence of Balochistan is a political necessity for civilized world as it would create a stabilizing buffer zone amongst different fronts in near future. Whether the world leaders are willing to act has yet to be seen. The other option is very clear " selective operations" , a new nomenclature of militants " good, bad, or intermediate may be??.
